Walking Field Trip Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Friday, May 13th we will be walking to Wayne State's Planetarium. Students need to wear uniform. Students should wear gym shoes to keep their feet comfortable during our walk. Shoes do not need to be uniform. Also- we will be eating lunch at school when we return so you can send your child with their regular lunch routine. We are leaving right away in the morning so please be on time. Let me know if you have any questions!

Milestone #3 Typo

On the Milestone #3 form I sent home last week it stated the milestone was due on the Thursday the 18th. The 18th is actually a Wednesday and is NOT the correct milestone date.

Milestone #3 is due this Thursday May 12th. This is the correct date and was stated on the learning team plan forms I send home after our last exhibition week.

Because of the time issues the typo may have caused I will not send home any homework Tuesday or Wednesday night this week. Hopefully the extra time will help students prepare for their goals.

I apologize for any confusion! Please let me know if there is anything you need to help complete this milestone.

Shaving Cream and Shining Light

Jaden and Sawyer were both Shining Light this week! (The kids are making it hard for me to only choose one!) Jaden is getting along very well with his classmates and Sawyer was a very helpful leader the day we had some kindergartners with us. Great job to both of you!!!

On Thursday we wrote our buddy study words in shaving cream on our desks. The kids had lots of fun!

Planetarium Field Trip

Next Friday, May 13, we will be walking to the Wayne State University Planetarium! In addition to the actual planetarium, we will be doing a hands-on physics experiment! We are asking for each student to bring in $1.00 for the trip by next Wednesday, May 11.

Ann Arbor Hands On Museum Field Trip Movie

We had SO much fun at the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum today! The kids were able to try different experiments and explore. We made slime and learned about matter too! Check out this iMovie with the pictures I took today.

Morning Meeting with Mrs. Drain's Class

Field Trip Reminders

I am so excited for our field trip this Wednesday May 4th to the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum.

Some things to remember:

1. Pack a bag lunch (where everything can be thrown away)

2. Dress in Uniform (it will help the teachers/chaperones tell our school apart from other children).

3. We are leaving the school right away. If you are late, your student will not go.

4. The busses will return to the school around 2:30.

Skype Mystery Reader

Today, Jude's mom was our Mystery Reader. Via Skype from her classroom, she read Curious George to all the kindergarten and first graders. It was really cool to use this technology to connect with her! Thanks for reading to us!

Shining Light X2

Because it was SOOO hard for me to choose just one Shining Light this past week I picked two! Gary and Jamia both made wonderful choices all week long and tried their best in class. Great job to both!
